Renewable energy solutions

Are you satisfied that you have done everything you can to make your home energy efficient? If so, and you are looking for a way of going that little bit further, then making use of a renewable energy source is the way forward.

Everyone can use renewable
energy in some way

By using renewable energy at home, you will be doing your bit to reduce your environmental impact and, depending on what you do, you could be saving even more money on your fuel bills.

As high tech as this may sound, everyone can make use of renewable energy in some way and, whether it is buying your energy from a renewable source or installing solar panels on your roof, this part of the site can help you through the process. In addition, details of any current grants or schemes for renewable energy technologies are included here.

Sun Rise

Sun Rise is your local renewable energy installation programme. Run by the not for profit Kent Energy Centre, it is a practical way for householders or businesses to exploit the sun's energy to heat their hot water. The scheme is affordable and hassle free, with negotiated bulk discounts and a network of trained and reliable installers. Click here for more info.

Community Renewables Initiative

Community Renewables Initiative is the Countryside Agency's way of helping local communities benefit from obtaining electricity and heat from renewable energy - solar, wind, water, biomass and geothermal. There are 10 local support teams around the UK, including one in Kent. Click here for more info.

The South Eastern team includes Creative Environmental Networks, ECSC, and the County Councils in Surrey and Kent.
